Is my son coming around and actually missing me?

my husband and I divorced and my son wanted to finish school at the HS he was at, we all sat down and agreed he could, at first my son was ignoring me after I moved out of the house and only called once a week, now when my ex is gone he will call me a few times a day and depends on me for all sorts of things. He has also been asking my ex why I moved away and been telling him that he misses me, when my ex aks him to GIVE MOM a call he acts like he does not want to but I have been told he will look all over for his cell right after, does this mean he does not hate me anymore and actually misses me now? I love him with all I am and I would love to know he does love me as well, why does he not act like he misses me to much in front of my ex but when he is not around its me he calls
