Does anybody else find the movies Gone Baby Gone and Mr. Brooks unbearably predictable? ?

I've been arguing with friends, family, and random acquaintances over the "freshness" of these two movies in particular. Finally, I went to Rotten Tomatoes and was surprised by the ratings given to the movies. Both movies had tired, overused plots and were overall lackluster. This has been bothering me for a long time, so can somebody either convert me or affirm my opinion?
