Hair color question that remains unanswered?

I'm in my 50's. I'm a litigation attorney. I have, at its base, very dark, but not quite black hair and it's pretty thick still. I have increasing white-silver/gray hair at the fringes, speckled on the top with a white accent on the forehead area. My younger wife (8 yrs. younger) says that she wants to see what it looks like all dark brown again. I say I want to be who I am. What do you think?
